Meet the team at 4 Paws Veterinarians in Townsville

Michael Jensen

Veterinarian & Practice Owner (BVSc Hons)

Born and bred in country Victoria, Michael completed Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne in 1993. Starting in mixed practice, Mike went on to work in rural practices throughout Victoria and then ventured overseas to work in the United Kingdom for 3 years. Mike has loved the relaxed atmosphere and warmer weather of Northern Queensland since working in Townsville between 2001 and 2008, and thus returned to become a business owner at the end of 2013. Mike is as much a cat lover as he is with dogs. He has a passion for fixing things - so if he isn’t ‘fixing’ animals during surgery, he can be found at home making things, doing woodwork, metal work or mechanics. He enjoys AFL and is a Life member of the Townsville University Hawks Football team.

Marina Worden

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Marina graduated from James Cook University in 2015, and is one of 4 Paws wonderful Vets. She has a passion for surgery however, loves to work with animals of any size. Her upbringing on a cattle property in Far North Queensland was filled with endless opportunities to care for animals great and small which sparked her keen interest in becoming a Veterinarian.

In Marina’s spare time you’ll find her out fishing, camping and spending time with her kelpie Brin. After working in Bell (south-east Queensland) in mixed practice for a time, Dr Marina has now moved to Townsville to expand her knowledge in all things small animal veterinary.

Bronte Millman

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Bronte graduated from the University of Queensland in 2017 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. Following graduation she spent a year in Papua New Guinea volunteering at the SPCA where she gained a lot of experience with a variety of cases as this was the only clinic on the island. She joined the 4Paws team in January 2019 and is mostly found at the Upper Ross clinic. Bronte’s special interest includes nutrition and enrichment for cats and dogs. Away from work Bronte enjoys finding weird and wonderful food and toys for her pets. She also loves travelling and hopes to cross many more places off her bucket list.

Samantha Coomes

Sam grew up in the beach side suburbs of Sydney before moving to Townsville to study Vet Science at James Cook University and graduated in 2019. Sam is currently enjoying everything small animal practice has to offer and hasn't quite decided her area of interest yet.

In Sams spare time you'll find her riding horses, playing oztag or lifting weights in the gym if she's not off adventuring.
